Autofiesta GT-Queen Search 2008 - Screening Session

We are having an open screening session for the Autofiesta GT-Queen Search 2008 @ Metropolitan College, Subang Jaya. We have more than 50 girls that have registered themselves, vying for the title 'Miss Autofiesta GT-Queen 2008'. Participants, here are further details regarding the screening session.

Venue: Metropolitan College Concourse
Date: 21st-25th April 2008
Time: 2pm-5pm
Dress Code: Dress to impress!

Due to the large amount of participants, walk-ins are not recommended unless there is time and an available slot for that particular day and time. Do be punctual, as judges in the first elimination round will only select 20 hopefuls through a first-come-first-serve basis, so try your best to come as soon as possible. Lets make this event a blast. See you there!

Autofiesta "Fiery Flames" Preview Show @ Metropolitan College

Can you feel the heat? Autofiesta "Fiery Flames" 2008 is approximately 40 days away. A gathering of one one of the most comprehensive car collection is about to begin this 10th of May 2008. This month, the MMEC team organized a small preview @ Metropolitan College. Excitement filled the air when KK Lau, Dreamcubes and other car exhibitors displayed their machines for the public to be awed. The preview is just a tiny glimpse of whats to come.

Times are bad these days. Two of my buddies lost their cars, a pearl white Honda Civic EG - WFC 400 (stolen on March 19 2008) and a white Honda Civic EK - WEQ 3366 (stolen on March 29 2008), 10 days apart. It is so depressing yet unbelievable to accept the fact that these two cars were stolen. It is suspected that the culprit is the same person, but we are waiting for further information regarding the incident.

2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R

What is your child hood fantasy? Swimming in a pool of candies? Eating unlimited amounts of ice-cream? Being an astronaut? Pfft. For me, it is the love at first sight i had for the Nissan Skyline, back when I was a kid, playing Grand Turismo 1.

And now, in 2008, a new Godzilla has arrived. Behold, the new 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R. The new GT-R is a complete redesign from the old BNR34 model. It offers ultimate performance for virtually every driving situation; be it snow, rain, city driving or a go at the Nurburgring Circuit, thanks to advance technology and driving dynamics.

The new GT-R features an all-new 3.8 liter twin-turbo V6 VR38 engine, featuring plasma sprayed bores and a special twin-turbo exhaust manifold system. This mean that you will be getting approximately 473 bhp @ 6400 rpm at the engine and a maximum torque of 434 lb-ft from 3200 to 5200 rpm.

The power is transfered to the ground using the all-new GR6-type dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters and a Borg Warner six-plate dual clutch for direct control. The Bilstein DampTronic1 system is used to provide the ride with appropriate damping forces to take that next corner or to hit that straight-line road. Large Brembo full-floating drilled rotors, low steel high stiffness brake pads and Brembo mono block six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers offers superior braking power, highly needed for a super car in this caliber.

The car's overall design is also a work of an engineering marvel. Body panels of this new GT-R is a combination of steel, carbon fiber and aluminum, providing a unique combination of stiffness and lightness. BOSE, the pioneer of luxury high-end car entertainment system, has specially designed a sound system for the new Nissan Skyline GT-R, which includes two forward-facing woofers in the rear center arm rest area combined with traditional door speakers.

Personally, i think sound system for this GT-R is a dumb thing to have. The only sound I would like to hear when driving this beast is the 3.8 liter V6 roaring through the hood. After seeing this car, I can't imagine anything that will ever come close to it. This monster is simply unbeatable.

I am proud to announce that the fourth installation of AutoFiesta - 'Fiery Flames' is here in town! The highly publicized motorsports exhibition will be held on the 10th of May 2008 @ Metropolitan College Subang Jaya. The show will commence from 4pm till 11 pm .

AutoFiesta is an motorsports exhibition event brought to you by the Metropolitan Motorsports Enthusiast Club (MMEC). The club's main goal is to promote motor sports awareness amongst students, enthusiasts and the general public. MMEC is a club driven by students from Metropolitan College who have a deep passion for cars and motor sports.

The brand 'AutoFiesta' is well known to the public, especially in the Klang Valley area due to our previous successful auto exbhition shows, the AutoFiesta v.1 (2005), AutoFiesta v.2 - 'Night Fever' (2006) and AutoFiesta v.3 - "Refuelled" (2007).

With every year that passes us by, our shows got bigger and better, and this year, AutoFiesta - "Fiery Flames" 2008 will be as grand, if not bigger than our previous shows. So come on down, have some fun and pump up your adrenaline rush! We'll see you there!
